Day 7

Weight: 229. Down 1.5. AHA!!! No deodorant yesterday!!!

After my 3rd dose of drops yesterday, I felt like my face was on fire. It got all blotchy pink, especially under my chin. My thought was that because I hold the drops under my tongue for a while, that had to be the irritant. I got on the hcg Facebook site and asked if anyone ever had allergic reactions to the drops. One member suggested that it was the vitamin B drops so I have sworn off them. I was depressed for the rest of the night wondering if I was allergic to hcg and asking God to please not take this miracle diet away from me. "What if I have to quit taking it? Am I doomed to be fat forever?" I did some more searching on the net and found that some people have a detox rash reaction while on hcg. So maybe I'm just detoxing. I didn't have a flare up after my morning dose today but under my chin is still itchy/irritated from yesterday. I'll drink lots of water to flush me out.

I've been very secretive about my hcg diet. Yes, I know I'm doing a BLOG about it but technically you are all strangers. And you're not going to judge me because you are probably doing the diet too! I haven't told my family (other than my hubby, of course) and I haven't told my co-workers or friends. At work, I'm being all sneaky, like I'm a druggie hiding their stash. I took a super late lunch earlier in the week so no one would see what I had packed. The past few days, I've been trying to get to the lunchroom first so I can start to eat and they think I've already eaten most of my lunch. I announce to my cubicle buddy that I'm going to the kitchen to have an apple or strawberries for snack. That way if she sees my lunch of chicken and cucumber (or lettuce), she doesn't think that's all I'm eating. I work with all women. We're all in each other's business. And my little circle knows I'm always on a diet and they love to "help". But for now, I'm keeping my secret. I don't need any "experts" trying to fix something that ain't broken.

Good Morning my hcg friend!
Like I said yesteday.... I just love reading your daily blos. I'm a little later then usual getting to read today's blog. Had to get a few errands done with the hubby this AM. Sorry to hear about your allegic reaction to either the hcg or B12, or that your itchy due to detoxing, whatever it maybe I'm sure it's uncomfortable to say the least! I hate feeling itchy! Should I happen to go through it, at least I'll know somebody else who has been through it, so... Thanks for sharing this info here on your blog.
I too am keeping the diet a secret. Only people who know are my hubby, and my older daughters (ages 21 & 17) my 9yr old twins could probably careless. Oh and my cousin Jeana of corse, she's my buddy through this as you already know. I totally understand the reasoning behind not sharing with co-workers, as I'm not sharing with any of them either. I told my husband DO NOT share anything about this diet with your parents or anybody else. He knows I want this kept private among just our household, as do my kids! Keep us updated on your itching. So happy to hear your not stinky since your going without deodorant, That will be me starting Thursday. Congrats to another 1.5 loss. I see your tracker is moving a little more in the right direction, each time I go to your blog page, it even puts a smile on my face being able to see your progress! Did you notice the B12 drops helping you with energy? How often were you taking them? I'm sorta looking forward to them helping me through that first week or even first 10 days of adjusting to the diet. But..... Not if they do to me what they have done with you! ( if that is what's causing your itching?)I hope whatever the itching was, it's gone and never to be back so you will have no more worries for the remainder of the diet. I'm sure GOD knows just how important this diet is to you, everything will workout for the absolute good! Again I enjoy and look so forward to getting home to view your blogs, so.... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! Until next time friend.... Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

I took the vitamin B mid-morning every day this week. My itchy feels MUCH better now. I'm hopeful that it really was the VB. I didn't notice the VB doing anything anyway so I'm not missing it today. I told my hubby not to share too but we borrowed a digital kitchen scale from his dad and when my hubby returned it, dad asked what diet I'm doing now. So now dad thinks I'm on a crash/fad diet but oh well. His memory isn't the greatest so hopefully he'll forget by the time I see him next. LOL I have since bought my own digital kitchen scale. You have less than a week left!!!! I'm excited to see what tomorrow's scale will be at the official one week mark.

Well, if you didn't notice the B12 helping you in any way, I wouldn't mess with taking them either, especially after your face feeling like it was hot and on fire, and to top it off itching like crazy! I'm pretty sure I could do without all those symptoms to. So glad to hear it's feeling much better Today! I may only try the B12 if I'm having a hard day as far a energy goes, I will just have to play it by ear from day to day. I will be bloging my everyday so I'm sure you will know how my days are going! (lol) I bought my digital kitchen food scale a couple weeks ago, along with a new bathroom scale, so I think I'm fine there. I've been buying extra protien when I grocery shop, shrimp, fish, chicken to try and have a stock pile built up, so all I'll need to worry about is the perishables such as fruits and Vegetables, actually I have bought a few bags of the steamable asparagus, and broccoli. Broccoli is not on the list but.... I am going to be eating it, in my little guid book that came with my drops it says...Additional vegetables broccoli, cauliflower, and peppers seem to pose no problemsto the diet. I love broccoli, so I'm going to eat it at least once per day. I know it.... 6 days will be here in the blink of an eye. I'm so READY! I've already counted up my 40 days to see when my diet will be over for round 1 and it'll be October 13th. That's not too far off either. Wonder what I'll say when people start to ask questions like..... Shyla have you lost weight? What are you doing to lose it, or if they ask....What's your secret? I have it in my head, I'm just going to reply with a simple truthful answer....I'm eating more healthy. It's not a lie....Right? (lol)

From the looks of it.... Your going to be my only follower and supporter with my HCG diet blog. I've had it now for 3 days and you are the only follower I have! Oh well, On a brighter note, at least I have you, and not just blogging to myself....Right? (lol)

I'm sure there are more reading but they might not do the "follow" thing. You have no idea how awesome it is to have you to talk to about all this! I have a spreadsheet with all my days on it too - I'll be done Sept 28 (assuming I do all 40 - I only ordered the 26 day kit and haven't placed my re-order yet just in case I can't make it to 40). If I do a 2nd round, I plan to load Halloween and the day before. :)

Heck yeah loading days on Halloween and the next day to....YUMMY! I so enjoy having you to talk with as well, and I haven't even started the actual diet yet, can you imagine how I'll feel having you come next week, and the week after that, and forsure the week after that? Golly Geez, I know this is not going to be easy by no means, having a blog frind to chat with will be fantastic. I counted up 6 weeks after my 43 days, and guess when it falls on?..... THANKSGIVING day November 24th How AWESOME is that? Round 2 my loading days will be Thanksgiving and the day after....Can you say Leftovers? LOL! I think I've read and understood that to be right, if you do the 40 days of drops you must take off 6 weeks, or is it just 30 days? Mmmmm.... I'm not sure, do you know? If it's just 30 days, then I can do round 2 on November 12th. If it's 6 weeks then it's Thanksgiving day..... either way, I might just wait and still make my loading days on Thanksgiving day and the day after! Do you blame me? LOL

I bought my first 40 day round on Sunday August 21st. then after check out with the 1st order, it gave me a 40% off coupon and I turned right around and used it for my 2nd 40 day round of hcg so I got 80 days worth all on Sunday August 21st. So.....I'm already set for my second round! (lol) I really need to work on getting me a good spread sheet before Thursday! I want one for just measurements, I'm going to measure my waist, hips, thighs, and butt every Sunday while on the diet, Sundays will be my measure days. Then I want a sheet for my daily weight, hcg drops, list of foods for both meals, and snacks, should I choose to save my fruits for bedtime, or something besides my meals, and my water intake all that on one sheet for 40 days. I really need to get busy on that. Seems like there is so much prep time for this diet, or perhaps I'm making it that way due to my dertermination and will power being so strong? Oh well, I'm sure round 2 will be less stressful on me, and I'll have all this prepping done from the first round, so thats a plus for the 2nd round.

The way I understand it, after your last day of the cycle, you do phase 3, which is 3 weeks of no carb/no sugar and no more than 1500 cals a day to stabilize your weight. Then you should do at least 1 week of sensible eating. I plan to start my round 2 after 4 weeks, or 30 days. I'll be done Sept 28, and then start loading Oct 30. I'll be on 500 cal for Thanksgiving but I'll just live through you! LOL I'll only be on phase 3 for 2.5 weeks when Xmas hits but I figure that's close enough and I can eat "normal" for Xmas. I haven't decided on round 3 yet. I could start Jan 7 but that's my daughter's bday and then our anniversary is Jan 11 so I will probably wait until Jan 14. Assuming everything goes to this plan, I should be goal weight before round 3 ends. EEEK!!! I've NEVER been goal weight my entire life.

This stupid thing never lets me comment on other people's blogs! Just read yours. Let me know what you think of Stevia! I haven't tried that yet.
