HCG

I have another blog on Facebook but don't want to share this with my audience there just yet. I have started the hCG diet after seeing the success one of my FB friends has had. I ordered my drops from hcgdiet.com and will share this with their FB group.

I only bought the 26 day kit but will order more to complete a 40 day cycle if it goes well. The drops came within the week and I started on Saturday, August 20, 2011.

Weight: 238. Yuck. (How brave am I for posting my weight??? Very.) Day one of loading went okay but I didn't take full advantage of the binging. My husband was working so I was home with the kids doing Mom stuff (laundry, cleaning, chasing kids). I had peanut butter toast, turkey sandwich (with lots of mayo), mac n cheese, Burger King. It was hard because I've been so used to counting calories that I felt gross/guilty doing it. Took all three rounds of drops, like a good girl. I did not take the Vitamin B.

Weight: 239.5. Day two of loading went much better because my husband went to the grocery store and bought things he knew I would binge on: PIZZA ROLLS!!!! Holy crap, did I eat the hell outta those. OATMEAL CREME PIES!!!! Mmmmmm.... DORITOS!!!!! DONUTS!!!! When I do the next round (assuming I make it through this one), I will totally make a better list of gorge foods. Again, took the drops but no Vitamin B.

Day 3. Weight: 242.5. I guess I binged properly the 2nd day! EEK! This crap better work, I thought. I had packed my lunch and snacks the night before so I was ready. The plan calls for 500 cals a day. Lunch is 100g meat, 1 fruit, 1 melba toast, 1 veggie (all choices are from an approved list of foods). Dinner is the same but you're supposed to vary the choices. It's also okay to split things up but you can't eat everything at once or double up on one thing (no two apples at once or two meats at once, etc). At 10am, I had 6 strawberries and a melba. Lunch was around 12pm - 100g plain chicken and 1 cup lettuce (I'm sure I can have more lettuce but was nervous about doing it right). Around 3pm, I had an apple and another melba. Dinner was at 6ish - 100g sirloin burger, 1/2 tomato. By bedtime I was hungry but I made it! Took all 3 rounds of drops and tried the Vitamin B (which tastes weird to me).

Day 4. Weight: 236! It dropped! WHEW! I was nervous. I think I drove my husband crazy last night talking about it. "Should I count from day one or from after the binge???" and "What if it doesn't drop???" and "IF this works, I could do another round staring on Halloween! How great to eat all that candy on my binge days!" He's going to hate me by the time this is over.... I have the same snacks planned for today but am doing cucumber for lunch instead of lettuce. I'll probably have the same dinner as last night. Oh, and I've done good drinking lots and lots of water. I can have black coffee too (thank goodness!). Lots of trips to the bathroom!!!!

Hey - don't worry about posting your weight - that's a brave thing. I would post my weight too (I'm heavier than you), but what I'm doing is just posting how many pounds I lost. Keep it up! You look like you're doing well!
